FCP Live-In was proud to do a presentation of FCP Live-In’s services to the Interdisciplinary Team and Administrator Peter Mendlow at the Villa at Stamford, CT!
FCP Live-In home care’s Assistance Coordinator Kelley Green provided a lunch-and-learn presentation to the Interdisciplinary Team and Administrator Peter Mendlow at the Villa at Stamford today. The Villa at Stamford is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in the picturesque area of North Stamford, serving the Stamford, Norwalk, and Westport areas.
Kelley provided an overview of the differences between medical and non-medical home care and discussed how live-in caregivers from FCP Live-In home care can reduce readmissions and keep vulnerable seniors safe, comfortable, and happy in their homes. FCP Live-In caregivers do this by helping to minimize falls with ambulation and transfer assistance, avoiding malnutrition and dehydration by preparing nutritious meals and encouraging hydration, preventing infections by ensuring they have good hygiene, and minimizing exposure to COVID-19, RSV, flu, and other diseases and by making sure seniors are taking medications appropriately. Social Services Director Christine Hemingway, Director of Nursing Lynn Lyons, and others were particularly impressed with knowing our caregivers are placed full-time, 7-days a week for several weeks to even several months at a time, ensuring consistency and continuity of care and allowing clients to bond with and build trusting relationships with their caregivers.
Many thanks to Admissions Director Blimie Megdalowitz for coordinating the event.
