FCP Live-In Home Care was proud to give a Lunch & Learn presentation to the Rehabilitation Team at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford, CT!
FCP Live-In Assistance Coordinator Kelley Green gave an informative and engaging presentation to the physical, occupational, and speech therapists and therapy assistants. While enjoying a delicious lunch, we discussed home care, the differences between medical and non-medical care, and how the services provided by FCP Live-In can help reduce readmissions! In discussion, some of the main reasons why people return to hospitals and rehabilitation centers such as Lord Chamberlain are falling, UTIs, malnutrition and dehydration, and mismanagement and complications of medications. Kelley identified several ways having an FCP Live-In caregiver can help seniors avoid these common issues to markedly reduce readmissions and ultimately keep them safe, comfortable, and happy in their homes.
A special thank you to Rehab Director C.J. Jones, and Staff Development Director Dolores Savage for inviting FCP Live-In to their community and meeting with their team.
