FCP Live-In was proud to attend the Maine Council on Aging’s 2024 Change AGEnt Summit in New Gloucester, Maine!
FCP Live-In home care Care Coordinator’s Newton Dubs and Janine Fifield attended the Maine Council on Aging’s 2024 Change AGEnt Summit titled “Riding the Wave of Change: Empowering Societal Transformation in Maine” in New Gloucester, Maine. This year’s Change AGEnt Summit, led by The Maine Council on Aging was an inspiring day of learning, engaged conversation, and action planning that will help to build the skills and connect attendees to the tools needed to take action to create an Age-Positive culture in Maine. Maine’s future can be bright if we all work together to change the narrative about the value of older people in our communities, culture, and economy. The summit workshop focused on breaking down the social norms created and perpetuated by us – which means we have the power to change them, even in our institutions and systems. The Summit was chock full of collaboration between providers and attendees, sharing valuable information, ideas, AND tools needed to become a Change AGEnt within the spheres of influence and a future plan to take action!
